The Methodist Church World Mission

The World Mission Fund supports the following programmes:

Nationals in Mission Appointments (NMAs): These appointments encourage and support local people in key mission projects in their own countries. Salaries are paid by the Fund for World Mission and enable new work to be developed.

Mission Partners: Mission Partners are initially trained in this country and invited to serve for periods of at least one year by partner churches in the Caribbean, South & Central America, Africa, The Pacific, Asia and Europe.

Experience Exchange Programme (EEP): A joint programme of the Methodist Church and the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel  - a mission agency of the Anglican Church. It offers opportunities to spend six to twelve months sharing in mission in another part of the world, learning from a new culture and experiencing the church there.

Scholarship and Leadership Training (SALT) Programme: This programme funds men and women to study advanced/post-graduate courses in a cross-cultural setting.

Grants for World Church Partners: These are general grants given to partner churches enabling the partner church to decide its own priorities for the work of the Kingdom.

Formation in World Mission (FiWM): Formation in World Mission (FiWM) is an educational initiative which supports formative cross-cultural encounters and cross-border movement as part of continuing training in discipleship and mission.

Special Projects: These are grants given on a regular basis for specific project requests from partner churches. These may range from conferences and educational projects to emergency relief and mission work in general.
